Responsible to plan, develop, implement and manage a sales program to distribute employer sponsored retirement plans in the emerging market and other related financial service products through a team of wholesalers within the Nationwide Workplace Solutions Sales Division.


Responsibilities: 

  • Lead team of 9 wholesalers covering 18 state region.
  • Drive profitable sales growth through consistent coaching interactions with each wholesaler. 
  • Collaborate with sales team and leadership to implement and monitor new sales and distribution strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with key distribution partners throughout the division, e.g., third-party administrators and mutual fund partners. 
  • Partner with business units to expand distribution partnerships, grow sales and retain existing business.
  • Coordinate and participate in large plan acquisition process.
  • Provide input on territory structure, wholesaler compensation, internal sales support and advisor communication.
  • Collaborate with business unit partners to retain plan sponsor clients and selling advisors; expanding the growth in recurring deposits and AUM.

Sold Nationwide retirement plan investment products through financial intermediaries to retirement plan sponsors.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and build relationships with advisors and third party administrators to promote Nationwide products and services. Assist Investment Professionals (IPs) to identify and market to prospects. Educate IPs on all aspects of retirement plan business. Encourage repeat business with IPs and acquire referrals to other IPs. Coordinate with Nationwide's team of specialists regarding cross-selling opportunities, referrals and joint meetings.
  • Coordinate with corporate staff and third-party administrators to prepare proposals, presentations and closing paperwork. Assist IPs at meetings with prospective customers, including fact finding and presentations.
  • Promote Nationwide products and services when appropriate and focuses on profitable growth in the territory.
  • Assist in asset retention and servicing on a case-by-case basis, including field visits with IPs and customers and coordination with corporate office.
  • Participate in and promote Nationwide at industry-wide conferences and broker/dealer conferences. Coordinate and conduct city-wide group meetings within region.
